Miles Heide - Suffers back injury Wednesday Heide sustained a back injury in San Diego State's 77-66 win over Utah Valley, per Bernie Wilson of SI.com.

Impact Heide only played five minutes in the Aztecs' win over Utah Valley, and it was due to a back injury that immediately knocked him out for the rest of the game. "Heide obviously went down, got undercut, fell on his back, so we couldn't use him," head coach Brian Dutcher said. The starting forward, who averages 4.4 points and 5.1 rebounds, will look to return against Lamar on Dec. 10.

Pharaoh Compton - Scores in double figures Wednesday Compton totaled 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 77-66 victory over Utah Valley.

Impact Compton was part of a bench unit that included three players, BJ Davis and Tae Simmons as well, who scored in double figures. The sophomore was active in general in this game, as he established new season highs in rebounds, blocks and steals. Compton has started once this year, but he is playing 15.1 minutes per game.

Tae Simmons - Sets new career high for points Simmons produced 15 points (4-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT) and seven rebounds across 14 minutes during Wednesday's 77-66 victory over Utah Valley.

Impact The freshman was part of a bench unit that had three players, including BJ Davis and Pharaoh Compton as well, who scored in double figures Wednesday. Simmons has only scored in double figures twice this year, but he has now played more than 10 minutes in each of the last two games. Perhaps he is beginning to play a role for the Aztecs.

Impact Davis led a bench unit that consisted of three players, Davis, Tae Simmons and Pharaoh Compton, who scored in double figures Wednesday. The junior has now contributed at least 11 points in each of the last five games. He has yet to start this year, but he is playing 20.4 minutes per contest.
