Impact Stefanovic will make his first start since Nov. 21 with Branden Carlson unavailable with an illness. Despite shifting to a bench role, Stefanovic has remained a key component to the Utes' lineup, averaging 10.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.4 minutes per game. He should see an even more increased role for the time being while stepping in for Carlson.

Branden Carlson - Not expected to play Thursday
Carlson isn't expected to play Thursday versus UCLA due to a non-COVID illness, Josh Furlong of KSL.com reports.
Impact While he hasn't been ruled out, it sounds like it would be a surprise if Carlson saw the floor Thursday night while he battles an illness. The 7-0 senior has been dominant for the Utes this year, averaging 15.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 27.9 minutes per game. Carlson did travel with the team and will see if he can try to return when the team faces USC on Saturday.
