Ian Martinez - Consistent scoring for Aggies Martinez logged 15 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 65-62 loss to UNLV.
Impact Despite Wednesday's road defeat, Martinez is having a banner year with the Aggies, leading the way with a 16.7 ppg scoring average that is also a career best. What's possibly the most impressive is the fact he's scored 11 or more points in every single game this season. Both his shot volume and free-throw percentage are up tremendously, which has so far offset a dips in field goal and three-point percentage. This loss may have cost Martinez and the Aggies their spot in the national rankings, and they won't get a chance to rebound until next Wednesday against Nevada.

Impact Coming off a scoreless game Saturday against Boise State -- his first as a starter and second of the season -- Anderson rebounded with a season-best scoring total. The Central Arkansas transfer has picked things up of late, with outings of 19, 15, 16 and 14 points in his last six games. The problem has been consistency, as Anderson has a combined three points in the two other games of that stretch.
