Impact McConnell tore an ACL in one of his knees before USC Upstate's 2023-24 season. Going into the team's 2024-25 campaign, he is healthy and looking to log his first counting stats since 2021-22. McConnell was enrolled at James Madison then, for whom he scored 13 points across his two games.

Jalen Breazeale - Available early Breazeale (Achilles) logged four points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five assists and two steals across his 28 minutes during USC Upstate's 85-82 win Saturday at North Carolina Central.
Impact Contrary to Goodman's preseason report, Breazeale was available again during mid-November. He has played 28 minutes in back-to-back games, suggesting his previously injured Achilles is all fine and well.

Jalen Breazeale - Still recovering from Achilles injury Breazeale is tending to an Achilles injury and is not expected back until late-December at the earliest, Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports.
Impact Breazeale was a key reserve in the USC Upstate backcourt last season, appearing in 30 games (nine starts) and posting averages of 4.1 points, 2.2 assists and 1.9 rebounds across 18.0 minutes. The Spartans will unfortuantely be without his services for most of non-conference play.
