Impact Perkins continued his excellent run of form Monday as he led the team in scoring with 19. After four straight games with exactly eight points to start the season, he's averaging 17.7 points per game across his last three starts. He hit a season-high five three-pointers on just seven attempts and shot over 50 percent from the field in his third straight contest.

Impact Since an opening-night loss to BYU, Villanova has won five in row, and Perkins has scored eight or more points in each game. Tuesday was a season high in both scoring and rebounding, continuing a positive trajectory for the junior guard. While his minutes have actually taken a slight decrease compared to 2024-25 when he primarily came off the bench, Perkins has increased both his scoring (11.0 ppg) and rebounding (5.0 rpg) averages. He shot just 21.1 percent from beyond the arc over his first five games, but if Tuesday is a sign of him turning the corner in that area, look for the bigger scoring games to tally up quickly.

Impact Perkins was a necessary spark off the bench in the win over the Pirates, dropping a seven-game scoring high and outscoring three of the Wildcats' starters. The also was a monster on the defensive side of the ball, amassing three steals which tied his season high. He'll be relied on heavily as the sixth-man once again against UConn in the next round of the conference tournament.

Impact Perkins produced a season-high scoring performance against the Musketeers, and tied his campaign-best of four shots landing beyond the arc. The sophomore guard also added on two steals in the outing, so he now totals 12 steals in his last six matchups. He doesn't look poised to snag a starting spot at this point in the season, but he's been given meaningful minutes so far this season and should continue to be a big impact for the Wildcats moving forward.
