Rebounds after rough game Beard had 16 points (5-8 FG, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Friday's 80-63 loss to San Francisco.

Impact Beard redeemed himself after scoring just three points on 12.5-percent shooting in the win against Pepperdine on Thursday. The sophomore guard co-led the Tigers in points with teammate Keylan Boone, in addition to scoring at a red-hot 62.5-percent clip. The Chicago native ends the year averaging 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Impact Beard's usage has been all over the place for the Hoyas this season. The three-star recruit has started twice and seen 30 or more minutes on three occasions, but his playing time has been relatively low since late-January. Beard had logged single-digit minutes in three consecutive games leading up to Wednesday, and without any injury in play, it appears he's just a fringe rotation player at this stage of the season.

He should be in line for big minutes on the ball until Harris is clear to return.

Impact It's not a stretch to say this performance came out of nowhere for Beard, as the freshman had just two total points in the last six games leading up to Wednesday's matchup. The Hoyas were down leading scorer Kaiden Rice due to a non-COVID illness, however, which opened the door for Beard to step up. It may be a stretch to say he's on the verge of fantasy relevance, but the breakout performance could very well earn him more minutes moving forward.
