Playing football, not on hoops roster Green is not listed on the LSU men's basketball roster in advance of the 2025-26 season.

Impact Green stepped away from the basketball team last February after appearing in six games that month, and the goal at the time was to focus on academics. Fast forward to the fall, and Green has appeared in two games as a tight end on the LSU football team, even catching a touchdown in the season opener against Clemson. Stepping away from basketball team Green will step away from the LSU basketball program in order to focus on academics, Nola.com reports.

Impact Green, who also plays tight end for LSU's football team, will step away from the Tigers' basketball program to focus on his academics. This decision was reportedly made in collaboration with both of his head coaches. Green will still participate in LSU's weight program ahead of spring football, and plans to return to the basketball team at a later date. Right now, however, there's no timetable for the forward's return. The freshman averages 1.8 points and 1.7 rebounds across 6.8 minutes this season.
