GAME LOG

One board shy of double-double King registered 16 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and three steals across 31 minutes during Thursday's 76-57 victory over Kansas State.
Impact King finished one rebound shy of what would have been his second double-double of the season in Iowa State's quarterfinals victory over Kansas State. He also added three steals and two assists for a Cyclone squad that pulled away in the second half. King's next opportunity to follow-up on this performance will come during Friday's semifinal against the winner of Cincinnati-Baylor, as he'll look to help Iowa State move one step closer to their first conference title since 2019.

Scores 21 to spur upset King chipped in 21 points (8-16 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal over 29 minutes during Saturday's 79-75 victory over Kansas.
Impact King led Iowa State in scoring and rebounding as the Cyclones pulled off the upset over Kansas. The senior forward had scored under 10 points in five of the first six conference games and found himself saddled with foul trouble in two of the last three, but saw 29 minutes Saturday, staying out of foul trouble and posting a season-high 16 shots while contributing his best scoring output since Dec. 1. For the season, King is averaging 9.9 points, 5.5 boards and 1.2 steals in 22.8 minutes per game.

Produces double double King finished with 18 points (8-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds and one steal across 23 minutes during Sunday's 96-58 victory over Florida A&M.
Impact King only saw 11 minutes in the previous game but was a major factor in 23 minutes as the Cyclones rolled to a big win Sunday. The 10 boards were a season high for King who put together his first double double since 2020 when he was at Eastern Kentucky. The senior forward has been a bit inconsistent in his production this season with four games of 16 or more points along with four games of six or fewer, but when he's on he's capable of carrying the Iowa State offense.

Starts final four games King registered 11 points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT) and five rebounds in 26 minutes during Friday's 59-41 loss to Pittsburgh.
Impact King scored in double figures for the third time in the last four games, as he moved up into the starting lineup ahead of Aljaz Kunc during this stretch. This still was not enough to keep the Cyclones from falling in the round of 64, thus ending the team's NCAA Tournament run early. The Eastern Kentucky averaged 6.1 points and 4.1 rebounds across 23 appearances in his first season in Ames, though he put up 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game across his four starts in March. King should now have one more year of eligibility if he opts to continue his collegiate career into the 2023-24 campaign.

Scores 13 points King logged 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 26 minutes during Saturday's 73-58 win over Baylor.
Impact King logged his best point tally of the 2022-23 Hawkeyes' regular season. During it, he averaged 5.8 points across his 20 games. But with tournament action incoming, King is expected to be a substitute, with Aljaz Kunc returning to the Hawkeyes' starting lineup for their future matchups.

Gets starting nod King is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game versus Baylor, Randy Peterson of the Des Moines Register reports.
Impact King will replace Aljaz Kunc in the starting five Saturday. The senior forward will make just his second start of the season.
MARCH 4, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Coming off bench Monday King will return to the bench Monday night as the Cyclones face Texas Tech, Carlos Silva Jr. of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.
Impact King will head back to the bench with Caleb Grill healthy and starting once more. King played solid in Grill's absence, notching nine points, five boards and one assist against Missouri. The senior has been logging significant rotational minutes without a starting designation, so he should still get the chance to contribute for the Cyclones with Grill back.
JANUARY 30, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Plays 27 minutes in start King ended with nine points (4-9 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 27 minutes during Saturday's 78-61 loss to Missouri.
Impact King logged his first start of the season in place of injured guard Caleb Grill (back). While King did provide satisfactory production in a replacement role, this wasn't enough to keep the Cyclones from being run off the court. The 6-foot-7 senior has now seen significant playing time in two of the team's last three games while Grill has been dealing with a lingering back issue. King has also gone 9-of-19 shooting to go along with 14 boards over these two contests, making him a worthwhile value consideration in fantasy lineups.
JANUARY 28, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Enters starting five King will start for Iowa State for their road test against Missouri on Saturday, per Nick Osen of 247Sports.
Impact King didn't make his season debut until December 18th, and has been a role player off the bench ever since. Now, he's in line to get his first start of the season against the Tigers. King is averaging 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds across 17 minutes.
JANUARY 28, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Logs 29 minutes off the bench King ended with 10 points (5-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt), eight rebounds and four steals across 29 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 61-59 loss to Oklahoma State.
Impact King played a season-high 29 minutes with 6-foot-3 shooting guard Caleb Grill limited to just 17 minutes by tightness in his back. The 6-foot-7 senior did not see much of a role from beyond the arc, though he did match his season high for field-goal attempts. After sitting out the first 10 games of the season due to eligibility issues, the Eastern Kentucky transfer has posted double-digit points in three of his eight games with the Cyclones. However, he's still averaging just 5.9 points per game, so his most significant contributions should continue to come on the boards, where he is averaging 4.0 rebounds per game.

Eligible to play Dec. 18 King is eligible to play Dec. 18 versus Western Michigan, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact An ineligible King sat out the 2022-23 Cyclones' first eight games. He will not play two more, Thursday at Iowa and Dec. 11 versus McNeese State.

No longer with program Per a release, King hasn't met university conduct expectations, isn't enrolled in classes at Georgetown and will not be part of the team, Hilltop Hoops reports.
Impact King joined the Hoyas this offseason after three years at Eastern Kentucky. Unfortunately, it appears something went south and he's no longer part of the school or program. It's unclear where the junior will wind up next, but it may not be at another big-six school.
