GAME LOG

Will miss 2022-23 season Kithier's collegiate career will come to an end after suffering a back injury that will keep him out of the 2022-23 season, Paul Oren of The victory Bell reports.
Impact Kithier played three years for Michigan State before making the move to Valpo for the 2021-22 season where he averaged 10.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest. This will certainly be a hit for the team this upcoming season. It's unfortunate this is how Kithier's career will come to a close.
AUGUST 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Good to go Friday Kithier (undisclosed) will play in Friday's MVC Tournament quarterfinal against Missouri State, Paul Oren of The victory Bell reports.
Impact Kithier managed to make it back for the first round of the tournament and supplied 10 points, four boards and three assists in the contest. He has avoided any setbacks and will maintain his spot on the floor Friday.
MARCH 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Logs 25 minutes in return Kithier (back) provided eight points (2-8 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and one block across 25 minutes during Saturday's 84-66 loss to Missouri State.
Impact Kithier scored 44 points combined over his first two games of the season, but he hasn't been able to repeat such figures going forward. At the very least he was able to return following a four-game absence, and given he jumped right away into the starting lineup, he should continue in that role going forward.
FEBRUARY 12, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Remains sidelined Kithier (back) won't play Wednesday at Illinois State, Jim Benson of The Bloomington Pantagraph reports.
Impact Kithier is dealing with a back injury and will be unavailable for the fourth consecutive contest. His next chance to return to game action will come Saturday at Missouri State.
FEBRUARY 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out again Saturday Kithier (back) will not be available for Saturday's contest against Indiana State, Paul Oren of The Times of Northwest Indiana reports.
Impact Kithier will miss his second straight game with a back injury. The Michigan State transfer also missed back-to-back games at the beginning of January due to a back issue. It's unclear if the two situations are related.
FEBRUARY 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out with back injury Kithier (back) will not be available for Wednesday's game against Bradley, Paul Oren of The Times of Northwest Indiana reports.
Impact Kithier struggled with a back injury early in the month. That ended up costing him two games. The Michigan State transfer is averaging 9.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game this season.
JANUARY 26, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out Sunday Kithier has entered health and safety protocols and is out Sunday against Illinois State, Paul Oren of The Times of Northwest Indiana reports.
Impact Kithier has been a regular starter in his first season after transferring over from Michigan State. The 6-8 senior has averaged 10.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 26.2 minutes per game. His absence will create a hole in the starting lineup, as he'll likely have to miss multiple games.

Expected back in practice Kithier (illness) is expected to return to practice Monday, Brendan F. Quinn of The Athletic reports.
Impact Kithier left Saturday's game against Nebraska with an illness, something that's treated with far more caution than usual during the coronavirus pandemic. It appears his illness was of the non-COVID variety, as he's since tested negative eight times, so his absence won't need to be a particularly long one. He could be back on the court as soon as Tuesday against Penn State.
