Impact This was Hardy's first matchup since since suffering a season-ending torn labrum in his right shoulder last December. The junior averaged 13.7 points across seven appearances with Southern Miss before enduring his injury.

Impact Losing Hardy is a major blow for the Golden Eagles, who got off to a 4-2 start in his six full games played. The junior got off to a roaring start to open the season, averaging 21.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.3 assists over the first four games, but then was mysteriously removed from the starting five and saw limited minutes over the next two games. After just two minutes against Montana, he was held out of the last two and is facing a serious issue that will hold him out the rest of the way. His absence figures to have major implications for a Southern Miss squad that relied on him as a key source of offense early in the year. Jaron Pierre and Rashad Bolden have seen expanded roles since his absence and figure to continue seeing big minutes.

He'll look to try and return Thursday for the first of a two-game series against Louisiana Tech.
