Impact Hopefully for Venters, the third time is the charm. He sat out the NCAA's last two seasons, not even playing any games for Gonzaga. Venters' last action was in the 2022-23 campaign, when he logged 15.3 points and 2.3 three-pointers made per game.

Will miss 2024-25 season Venters will miss Gonzaga's 2024-25 season due to an Achilles injury, per Theo Lawson of The Spokane Spokesman-Review.

Impact Venters was acclimating to basketball from a knee injury that prevented his participation in Gonzaga's 2023-24 season. But while doing so, the 23-year-old suffered an injury to his left Achilles, resulting in another season lost for him. Consecutive season-ending injuries are brutal, especially knowing that Venters is back to square one. Once again, he will have to sit out more than a year just for another shot at college basketball.

Five-on-five by end of summer Venters (knee) will be able to play five-on-five by the end of the summer, according to Theo Lawson of The Spokane Spokesman-Review.

Impact Despite sitting out the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Venters followed Gonzaga's team to the Midwest regional in Detroit. There, the redshirt junior was asked when he could participate in full-contact practices again. With the athletic trainer in charge of Venters' rehabilitation nearby, he asked the trainer to answer that question, who responded by saying the end of summer.
