Lands at Portland State Powell has transferred to Portland State, Verbalcommits.com reports.

Impact Powell left UNLV shortly after the 2023/24 season ended, and quickly found a home with Portland State. He played in 18 games (four starts) last season and averaged 2.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 9.6 minutes per game.

Impact Nowell joins the first unit in place of Kalib Boone (ankle), although Boone has yet to be ruled out for the contest. Thursday will mark Nowell's first start of the season after starting six of his 18 appearances last year at UNLV as a sophomore.
