JaVaughn Hannah - DNP in loss to UCSB Hannah didn't play in Saturday's 85-74 loss to UC Santa Barbara due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Johnson of the Mercury News reports.

Impact Hannah started in SJSU's season-opener, delivering 12 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal across 32 minutes. However, he was idle for the Spartans' second game of the campaign with an unspecified injury. Ben Roseborough replaced Hannah in the starting lineup. Hannah's next chance to play will come Thursday against Michigan State.

Colby Garland - Career-high night in loss Garland provided 30 points (11-13 FG, 8-9 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Saturday's 85-74 loss to UC Santa Barbara.

Impact Garland was an efficient superstar for the Spartans in their second game of the year, but his efforts unfortunately weren't enough by the end of the showing. The starting point guard pieced together a career-high 30 points, and he did so shooting 84.6 percent on his 13 field-goal attempts. Garland has also now scored 20 or more points and logged at least one steal in San Jose State's first two games of the campaign. He'll look to continue his dominance at Michigan State this upcoming Thursday.
