Impact Groves got the start in Monday's season opener after coming off the bench in 22 of his 34 games with the Sooners during the 2021-22 campaign. The 6-foot-9 senior also tied with his brother Tanner, who started at center, for the team's second-leading scorer in this upset loss. Groves will likely continue to start in Oklahoma's frontcourt alongside his sibling and forward Jalen Hill on Friday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Impact Noland started at shooting guard in the Sooners' season opener after coming off the bench in all 33 of his games during the 2021-22 campaign. The 6-foot-2 sophomore averaged 3.9 points and 1.5 rebounds, and he made 43.6 percent of his 1.2 three-point attempts in 12.7 minutes per game last season. Impact Bamisile did not start in his Oklahoma debut after transferring from George Washington this offseason. While starting all but one of his 30 games last season, the 6-foot-4 junior averaged 16.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.3 minutes per contest. Bamisile also spent his first collegiate season at Virginia Tech, though he may have to prove himself at the Power 5 level while playing behind C.J. Noland and Grant Sherfield this season.

Impact Sherfield recorded team highs in points and rebounds as the Sooners were upset in their season opener. However, this stat line fell short of his scoring averages over his last two seasons with Nevada, as the senior transfer put up 18.6 points and 6.1 assists in 2020-21 followed by 19.1 points and 6.4 assists in 2021-22. Sherfield did still make 62.5 percent of his field goals during his Oklahoma debut, and he'll look to improve his value as an offensive facilitator against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday.
