Returning for fifth season Alexis is returning to Indiana for his fifth year of eligibility following the recent injunction, Joe Tipton of On3.com reports.

Impact Alexis will make a return after the recent ruling giving many players an additional year of eligibility. The Hoosiers center averaged 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this past season.

Alexis will be hard pressed to put up a similar game against the Buckeye defense.

Impact Alexis seemingly couldn't be stopped for stretches of this game, scoring at will during Indiana's second-half run and making a major impact on the defensive end. Consistency has been tough to come across for the senior forward, but Alexis was able to help the Hoosiers pick up a signature win here that could potentially help keep them on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.

Impact Alexis has seen a slight surge offensively of late, as he had 13 points (and eight rebounds) Saturday against Iowa and was in double figures again Tuesday. That's notable considering the senior had been held to eight or less in the previous nine games, averaging 4.0 ppg over that span. The inconsistency is to be expected given Alexis splits minutes at center with fellow senior Reed Bailey. He and the Hoosiers will look to snap a four-game losing streak Friday at Rutgers.

The center hasn't hit double figures in six straight games now, and is averaging just 2.8 field goal attempts per game in that span. Having started the last five games, he seems to be producing less in his starting role, and his minutes still fluctuate rather heavily. Thus, fantasy managers may be wise to avoid Alexis for the time being.

Impact Alexis got his first start of the year against Penn State, but oddly enough, had his quietest outing of the season. The forward didn't even attempt a shot, although he did have a small hand in the offense, dishing out three assists. Alexis looks most comfortable coming off the bench, but we'll see how the Hoosiers deploy him moving forward as the conference slate looms.
