Christ Essandoko - Missing another exhibition Essandoko (not injury related) will miss Friday night's exhibition matchup against Widener.

Impact Essandoko has sat out both exhibition games for the Hawks while trying to sort through an eligibility issue with the NCAA. The seven-footer is one of the highest rated recruits in school history and expects to have a significant out of the gates once he's cleared to play. The team opens up their regular season Nov. 11 against Houston, leaving the talented freshmen without much time to get things sorted out.

Kacper Klaczek - Producing for Poland overseas Klaczek (face) had 19 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds and two blocks while playing for Poland in the FIBA U20 European World Championships.

Impact Klaczek's freshman season with the Red Hawks ended early due to a facial injury, but not only is he now playing overseas, he's been producing for his home country. Klaczek led Poland in minutes played, scoring and rebounding while helping his team to avoid relegation to the second division. It looks like there shouldn't be any obstacles to Klaczek suiting up for St. Joseph's in 2022-23, where he'll presumably have an expanded role.

Taylor Funk - Out for six weeks Funk (hand) is set to miss the next six weeks with a hand injury, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Funk will be sidelined the next six weeks after suffering a hand injury. The senior forward was not declared out for season, indicating the team believes in his ability to return this season if possible. Funk has started in all 28 appearances he has made this season, averaging 13.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 35.6 minutes per game this season.

Ejike Obinna - Corrals 18 boards Obinna supplied 14 points (5-14 FG, 4-4 FT), 18 rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 49-48 loss to La Salle.

Impact Obinna can be a bit hit-or-miss from a fantasy perspective, as he produced just two points on 1-for-7 shooting Saturday against St. Bonaventure, despite playing all 40 minutes. That game snapped a streak of eight consecutive contests in double figures, over which he averaged 12.4 points and 7.0 rebounds. Wednesday marked a new career-high for the 6-10 center, as Obinna beat his previous best mark by three rebounds. He's seen significantly more run with St. Josephs than with his time at Vanderbilt, though he unfortunately isn't very likely to be going dancing, as the Hawks have dropped seven in a row to fall to 4-13 in conference play.
