Commits to Louisville Conwell has committed to Louisville for the 2025-26 season, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Conwell entered the transfer portal on March 28, but his stance as a free agent was short-lived, as he's already committed to Louisville, who were one of the best teams in the ACC in 2024-25. One of the top players available in the portal, Conwell averaged 16.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for Xavier this season.

Leaving Xavier Conwell will enter the transfer portal, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Conwell averaged over 16 points-per-game in 2023-2024 at Indiana State, and then proved he could replicate that at the high major level, doing the same with Xavier in 2024-2025. What's more, he shot over 40 percent from downtown both years. The 6-foot-4 guard instantly becomes one of the top available players in the portal.

38-point display not enough Conwell registered 38 points (13-18 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 35 minutes during Thursday's 89-87 loss to Marquette.

Impact Conwell nearly carried the Musketeers on his back against the Golden Eagles, but his career-high 38 points wasn't enough to get the win. The junior guard had the most points on the court by far, and he made a season-high seven shots from behind the arc. Xavier's chances to win the Big East Tournament are now gone, but they are on the fringe of the NCAA Tournament which could put a dangerous scorer like Conwell back on the court.
