Impact Beran put up his second-best scoring total of the year earlier this week against a tough defensive team in Virginia, but even with that spot on the game log, he's still averaging just 5.4 ppg over his last five. The fifth-year senior is producing his lowest scoring average (5.0 ppg) since the 2020-21 season with Northwestern, but at least his efficiency is up, as a field-goal percentage of 46.8 is awfully close to a career-best mark. The 6-9 forward simply isn't asked to do as much offensively with Virginia Tech.
