Signs with Arizona Godfrey has signed with Arizona for the 2026-27 season, per On3.com.

Impact Godfrey will join the Wildcats for his fifth collegiate season after being granted an additional year of eligibility along with most of his class. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds on 25.1 minutes per game this past campaign.

Seeks extra year from NCAA Godfrey sued the NCAA last week in a group lawsuit seeking a fifth year of eligibility, Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State reports.

Impact The former Clemson forward's suit centers on the NCAA's new 5 for 5 rule, which Fowler notes does not currently cover players whose eligibility ended in 2025-26. Impact Usually, NCAA juniors enter its transfer portal in an attempt to maximize their senior year's upside. Godfrey is no exception, especially considering that him changing teams already worked once. During 2024, he transferred colleges to Georgia from Clemson.

Impact Godfrey was one field goal and rebound short of logging a double-double. Hunter Tyson may have turned pro, but Clemson's team had little problem immediately replacing him with redshirt senior Jack Clark. The sophomore does stand at least a decent chance to improve from his 2022-23 season though. It indicates Clemson's head coach Brad Brownell liked using Godfrey, who averaged almost 10 minutes across 33 of 34 games the team played.
