Ja'Kobi Gillespie - Powers Vols with 22 points Gillespie registered 22 points (5-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 9-9 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Tuesday's 76-73 victory over Houston.
Impact The Volunteers were able to avenge last year's Elite Eight loss. Gillespie continued on his scoring spree and now has six straight games of 17 points or more. He struggled from the field against the Cougars, but made up for with his best performance from the free throw line. The senior guard is averaging 19.6 points to lead Tennessee.

Jaylen Carey - Scores 13, snags seven boards Carey chipped in a season-high 13 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and seven rebounds over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 76-73 win over Houston.
Impact Carey showed up in a huge way against the excellent Cougar frontcourt. The 6-8 junior had a pair of big baskets in the second half as the Volunteers were holding onto a slim lead. He scored in double digits for the first time this season. His performance may lead to more playing time in future games starting on Dec. 2 at Syracuse.

Bishop Boswell - Hits key free throws Boswell logged 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 76-73 victory over Houston.
Impact Boswell hit two key free throws with 25 seconds remaining after missing a pair of freebies early in the game. The two points maintained the Volunteers' four-point lead which they would not relent. Boswell missed three games with a hamstring injury. He was back in the starting lineup and played a full complement minutes.

Darren Buchanan Jr. - Valuable off the bench again Buchanan closed Monday's 85-60 loss to Tennessee with 13 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, one assist and one block over 23 minutes.
Impact Buchanan's 13 points were a season high, but it was also the fourth time in six games the junior forward has scored in double figures coming off the bench for Rutgers this season. The George Washington transfer has fit in pretty easily in Piscataway, shooting 51.4 percent from the field. With the myriad of issues the Scarlet Knights have endured this season, there's a chance he manages to work his way into the starting lineup at some point this season.
NOVEMBER 25 ROTOWIRE
Harun Zrno - Three triples in loss Zrno finished Monday's 85-60 loss to Tennessee with 14 points (3-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT) and two rebounds in 25 minutes.
Impact Zrno's 14 points were a career high for the freshman. Even as Rutgers got blown out by Tennessee, the 6-foot-7 Bosnian wing had his best game in his young college career, and he did it by knocking down three triples and putting in some work at the charity stripe. Zrno's 25 minutes were also a season high; he could be earning more playing time moving forward.
