Elijah Strong scores a career-high 30 points, leading South Carolina to a 78-68 victory over LSU on Tuesday night

Scores 10, grabs seven boards Carter racked up 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-8 3Pt), a season-high seven rebounds and one steal across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 78-68 loss to South Carolina.

Impact Carter has played sparingly off the Tiger bench and had only collected a combined three rebounds prior to Tuesday's game. He helped the Tigers make the game respectable after the team fell behind by 25 points at halftime. The 6-4 senior may have earned himself more playing time.

Transfers to LSU Carter will transfer to LSU, per Joe Tipton of On3.com.

Impact The former Campbell, USTA and Memphis guard is coming off a season with the Tigers as a bench player, averaging 5.4 points and 1.5 rebounds across 14.4 minutes. The 6-foot-4 guard, is, however, a prolific three-point shooter, hitting 39.3 percent of his shots from beyond the arc last season and 40.3 percent the year prior.

Impact Carter transferred to Memphis last offseason after a successful year at UTSA. However, he saw limited action for head coach Penny Hardaway's squad, averaging 5.4 points across 14.4 minutes with zero starts. He'll now look towards another program with his final season of eligibility.

Lands with Memphis instead Carter will no longer transfer to Rice and will instead sign with Memphis for the 2024-25 season, Jason Munz of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Impact Carter signed with Rice back in June but since he did not report to campus, he was able to sign with another school if he pleased. The 6-foot-5 guard has now decided he'll join Memphis' squad instead of Rice. He averaged 9.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 three-pointers made on 19.8 minutes per game in the 2023-24 campaign with Texas-San Antonio.

Added to starting lineup Carter is part of Texas-San Antonio's starting lineup Wednesday against Temple.

Impact Since transferring to Texas-San Antonio back in 2023, Carter has mostly been a reserve for the Roadrunners. However, he has been great when in their lineup, with averages of 11.1 points and 3.1 rebounds across his nine games started. And after going off for 27 during UTSA's previous matchup, it only made sense for Carter to be starting again.
