Short run in exhibition Freeman (knee) started and logged six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and a steal across 13 minutes in Saturday's 76-64 exhibition victory over Colorado State. Impact Freeman spent most of the offseason rehabbing a knee injury, and while he was back to practice by mid-October, he sat out an Oct. 17 exhibition against Iowa State. The Iowa transfer is expected to take over as the starting center for the Bluejays, filling big shoes left by Ryan Kalkbrenner (19.2 ppg, 8.7 rpg). While he was relatively limited in Saturday's exhibition, and showed a little bit of rust (three turnovers), it was nonetheless a positive sign that he should be ready for Wednesday's season opener against South Dakota. If Freeman's minutes are limited in any way, however, Isaac Traudt would be the logical candidate to take on extra post minutes.
