Commits to George Washington Witherspoon will transfer to George Washington, per Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com.

Impact Witherspoon spent his freshman year at Pitt and made an immediate impact. He averaged 27.8 minutes across 33 games, starting 25 of them. The 6-foot-4 guard parlayed that into an 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He joins the Revolutionaries with three years of eligibility remaining.

Impact Witherspoon had an up-and-down freshman season with Pitt. He started 25 games and averaged 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists but was in-and-out of the starting lineup at times. He also wasn't all that efficient as a scorer, posting 38/29/65 shooting splits. He'll look for a fresh start with three years of eligibility at a new program.
