TCU starting center Malick Diallo will miss rest of the season after tearing ACL in the opener

TCU starting center Malick Diallo will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee early in the Horned Frogs’ opener

Malick Diallo - OFS with torn ACL Diallo suffered a torn ACL during Monday's loss to New Orleans and has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Diallo started Monday's 78-74 defeat and logged one rebound, one block and two turnovers while being held scoreless. The sophomore center was slated to take a significant step forward after averaging 10.9 minutes per game off the bench in 2024-25. However, his ACL injury will end his 2025-26 campaign after one game. With Diallo sidelined, Vianney Salatchoum (illness) and David Punch could see more action at the center position. Micah Robinson and Xavier Edmonds could see a bump in minutes as a result, too.

Micah Robinson - Provides spark off bench Robinson produced 14 points (3-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two steals in 23 minutes during Monday's 78-74 loss to New Orleans.
Impact Robinson served as a spark off the bench for the Horned Frog, providing production on both ends of the floor. With starting center Malick Diallo set for an MRI after leaving the game with an injured knee, Robinson could see his role increase if Diallo is set to miss extended time.

Malick Diallo - Scheduled for MRI Diallo is scheduled to receive an MRI on the knee he injured in TCU's season-opening loss to New Orleans, per Jamie Plunkett of 247Sports.com.
Impact Diallo went down with a knee injury in the first half and didn't return to TCU's stunning season-opening loss. He did return to the bench in the second half with an ice pack wrapped around his knee. We'll know more following the results of the center's MRI, and the Horned Frogs' next game is something of a quick turnaround against St. Francis (PA) on Thursday.

David Punch - Big performance in loss Punch ended with 19 points (9-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and two blocks across 29 minutes during Monday's 78-74 loss to New Orleans.
Impact Punch led the way for the Horned Frogs, matching career highs in both scoring and rebounding in the loss. The sophomore forward will be tasked with a far greater role this season after averaging 6.5 points and 4.4 boards across 20.4 minutes during his freshman campaign.
