Double-double in win
Owusu-Anane supplied 10 points (3-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 88-59 victory over Northern Illinois.
Impact
The senior forward recorded his second double-double in the last two games. It's perhaps not surprising for a player who averaged 10 or more points and eight or more rebounds in each of the last two college seasons (2022-23 and 2023-24) that he played in, both at Brown.

Returns in Exhibition
Osuwu-Anane (shoulder) returned to the court for the first time since the 2023-24 season with six points (2-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in...
Impact
The 6-8 forward did not play in 2024-25 after tearing his labrum in the first practice with his previous school, Brown. He was an All-Ivy Second Team selection in his last season with the Bears. While his offensive production showed some rust, the fact that he played 35 minutes indicates that Osuwu-Anene should be healthy for the new season.

Out indefinitely
Owusu-Anane (shoulder) underwent a surgical procedure on his left shoulder earlier this week and will be sidelined indefinitely, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.
Impact
Owusu-Anane, who explored the transfer portal before ultimately returning to Brown, is at risk of missing the entire 2024-25 season. The 6-foot-8 senior was extremely productive with the Bears last season, averaging 14.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and one block across 31 starts. Owusu-Anane plans to remain enrolled at Brown and graduate this year and could possibly explore a redshirt option to play as a graduate student next season should he be unable to suit up this season.
