GAME LOG

Hopeful to return in December Head coach Josh Pastner indicated that he is hopeful Che (foot) can return by UNLV's matchup against Fresno State on December 20, per Steve Cofield of ESPN 1100/100.9 FM.
Impact It's an upgraded timeline for Che, who was previously thought to be out until potentially late January due to a foot injury. The 6-foot-3 guard has yet to play a game for the Rebels this season after transferring in from UC Irvine in the off-season, where he averaged 12.1 points per game last season.
NOVEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Out for a while Che (foot) could be out for up to two months and a redshirt this season is possible, freelance writer Jeffrey Waddilove reports.
Impact Che was set to be the Rebels' starting point guard this season after transferring in from UC-Irvine. He's been dealing with a foot issue since the summer and head coach Josh Pastner has expressed a possibility that Che won't play at all this year. It's safe to expect Che to be sidelined through at least December. Howie Fleming will continue to be the starting point guard while Che is out.
NOVEMBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Still out Che (foot) is out for Sunday's game at Memphis, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact For the first half of November, none of UNLV's three games include Che. Thus, Sunday will include Che's fourth consecutive DNP for the 2025-26 season. Che will have at least three more opportunities to play in November, but is looking more unlikely.
NOVEMBER 16 • ROTOWIRE
Out for opener Che (foot) is out for Tuesday's opener against Tennessee-Martin, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Che, as expected, will miss the Rebels' season opener as he works back from a foot injury. The 6-foot-3 guard is expected to play a large role for the Rebels this season after transferring in from UC-Irvine in the offseason. He averaged 12.1 points per game in the 2024-25 campaign.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Doubtful for opener Che (foot) is doubtful for UNLV's season opener against UT Martin, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Che was previously listed as questionable for the team's season opener on November 4 due to a foot injury, but appears to have experienced a setback in his recovery. The 6-foot-3 guard is expected to play a large role for the Rebels this year after transferring in from UC-Irvine in the offseason, where he averaged 12.1 points per game last season, so his absence will be sorely felt in Las Vegas. His status will continue to be worth monitoring moving forward, though if he misses the season opener his next chance to return will come against Chattanooga on November 8.
OCTOBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
May miss start of season Che is out at least two months because of a foot injury, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact UNLV's 2025-26 season begins on Nov. 4, against Tennessee-Martin. If exactly two months is all that Che needs to recover, he may make the campaign opener. Either until then or until further notice, Che will be questionable as the Runnin' Rebels prepare for their 2025-26 season. It was announced that he would join UNLV in late-April.
AUGUST 27 • ROTOWIRE
Commits to UNLV Che announced Thursday he is transferring to UNLV, Callie Lawson-Freeman of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Impact Che is on the move for the third time in three years and is coming off a stellar shooting season, averaging 12.1 points on 49 percent shooting from beyond the arc. He started all 38 games at UC-Irvine during the 2023-24 campaign and will look to take the next step up with the Lobos.
APRIL 24 • ROTOWIRE
Entering transfer portal Che has entered the NCAA transfer portal, per Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com.
Impact Che will enter the portal following a single season with UC-Irvine. The former Chattanooga transfer averaged 12.1 points per game for the Anteaters this past season. The 6-foot-2 sophomore will retain two years of eligibility at his next destination.
