The 6-3 senior had been struggling with his long range shot and had converted just 27.3 percent of his 3-pointers coming into Tuesday. He had hit better than 40 percent of his shots from the perimeter in his first two season with the Tide, so a course correction could be in the offing.

It looks like the Alabama center is going to be more effective than Baylor center James Nnaji, who returned to college under similar circumstances. In limited playing time (21.5 minutes), Bediako has provided 13.5 points on 81.8 percent from the field and 4.5 rebounds. Alabama heads to Florida on Sunday, which will be a good test for the new Tide's center.
