Impact Mitchell fell two points shy of his career high, set last year in a win over Alabama. The Duke transfer bounced back from a nine-point outing in the opener against Howard. The 6-9 senior has excelled from the field (80.0 percent), while struggling from the free throw line (40.0 percent). Look for more scoring when the Tigers take on VMI on Sunday.

Shawn Phillips - Scores 16, grabs 11 boards Phillips accumulated 16 points (8-9 FG, 0-2 FT) and 11 rebounds across 20 minutes during Monday's 88-67 victory over Howard.

Impact The seven-footer spent the majority of the last two seasons coming off the bench for Arizona State. He put up double-double numbers on a per minute basis, and showed he could put up an actual double-double for Missouri as a starter. If he can continue to stay out of foul trouble, Phillips could be a nice source of points and rebounds.

Trent Pierce - Unavailable for 2025 opener Pierce (lower body) isn't available for Missouri's 2025 opener against Howard, the team announced.

Impact Pierce was slated to be a rotational member of Missouri's front court this season after a sophomore year in which he averaged 6.7 points and 3.2 rebounds across 33 games with 19 starts. He won't get a chance to take the court in the opener, however, as he's dealing with a previously un-reported lower body ailment. He'll look to return in time for the Tigers' second game against Southeast Missouri State on Friday.

Impact Boateng will miss the Tigers' first game of the season as he navigates an unknown injury. The 6-foot-6 sophomore's next chance to see the court will be this Friday against SE Missouri State. He averaged 1.9 points on 6.4 minutes per game last season.

Impact Stone missed the entire 2024-25 season with an upper body injury. He transferred to Missouri after spending the season out with West Virginia. When he last took the court in 2023-24, he averaged 20.8 points with Detroit Mercy. The 6-4 senior will vie for backcourt minutes with Sebastian Mack.

Impact Robinson started 31 games for the Tigers and averaged 9.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He converted 40.0 percent of his 3-pointers, but only took 1.5 per game. Look for the 6-3 junior to call his own number more often and be one of the leading scorers for Missouri.

Impact The Tigers' 7-foot-5 center's injury is reportedly similar to the one that caused him to miss his entire freshman season. Burns' 8-12 week timeline places his return in November, so he shouldn't miss all that much of Missouri's season. Still, being limited throughout the preseason will certainly impact his ability to contribute early, especially considering he missed all of 2024-2025 as well.
