Impact A void has recently been left in the KU offense due to Darryn Peterson's hamstring injury, and so far, Council has been unable to fill it. He's 6-for-18 from the field in two games without Peterson and currently shooting a career-low 35.3 percent. That could all be erased with a big opportunity against Duke awaiting Tuesday night, however. Look for him and wing Tre White (12.0 ppg) to be heavily involved with Kansas entering as double-digit underdogs.

Five-star freshman Darryn Peterson (rest) sat this game out due to rest, and he'll unquestionably be the top option for the Jayhawks this year, but Council still has plenty of room to contribute in a secondary role. He also started a more intense exhibition against Louisville on Oct. 24, where he picked up 11 points, four assists and four rebounds. He was just 1-for-9 from the floor in that contest, but it was the second-most field-goal attempts of any Kansas player, which bodes well for his volume.

Impact Council is coming off two straight highly productive seasons. With presumably one season of eligibility remaining, he'll take his talents to Kansas, where the 6-foot-4 guard should get the chance to compete for a starting role immediately.
