Logs 15 points vs. Ohio State Mag logged 15 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 33 minutes during Rutgers' 68-64 win Sunday versus Ohio State.

Impact After logging scoring rates less than 3.0 across his first two seasons, Mag averaged 7.6 points during the second half of 2022. 2023 is expected to be Mag's best year as a collegiate athlete. He already averaged 10.0 points across his first three games following the end of 2022.

Impact Mag certainly had his chances to contribute but recording three turnovers and fouling out isn't as helpful for his team's first loss of the season. He'll still get plenty of chances to step up in a team that doesn't play many beyond their top six options, so things could certainly improve by conference play.

Impact Mag appeared in 28 games last season for the Rutgers, primarily off the bench, but if Sunday's usage is any indication of what's to come, the junior wing appears in line to see his role expand significantly. He was the team's second-leading scorer and rebounder while attempting more field goals than any other Rutgers player.

Mag, who is suffering from severe dental trauma, will be unable to suit up for Rutgers Saturday. The 6-foot-7 forward has started two games for the Scarlet Knights, averaging 4.4 points, two rebounds, and 0.6 assists on 13.2 minutes per game this season. Mag's next opportunity to return will be Tuesday when Rutgers take on Penn State.
