Impact Adams had the hot hand for the Terrapins, but it wasn't enough to keep the season rolling. The 6-5 freshman closed his season three double-digit scoring performances off the bench after starting 28 of the first 30 games. He should be able to use his experience in his second season in 2026-27.

Pharrel Payne - Likely out for rest of season Payne (leg) is expected to miss the remainder of the season, Jake Kauderer of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Payne was not honored on senior day Sunday, and head coach Buzz Williams noted that it was due to the fact that Payne's decision on next year has not been finalized. Payne has now missed 20 consecutive games due to a significant leg injury that he suffered in December. Although the senior played and started in 10 games this season, there's a chance he could get a medical redshirt and return next season. That would be excellent news for the Terrapins -- if he were to choose to return to Maryland -- as Payne averaged 17.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks across 26.8 minutes per game this season.

Impact The 6-4 freshman finished his first season as a Terp on an upswing. In his last six games, he averaged 23.0 points on 49.0 percent from the field and 42.9 percent on 3-pointers with 5.2 rebounds. He hit multiple 3-pointers in each game during that span. Maryland fell to the 17-seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will face Oregon on Tuesday. Mills was held to four points in 21 minutes in the Jan. 2 loss to the Ducks.
