Johann Grunloh - Value boosted by defense Grunloh racked up eight points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds and four blocks in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 84-60 win over Maryland Eastern Shore.
Impact The 9-1 Virginia Cavaliers are off to a hot start under coach Ryan Odom, and the new scheme has resulted in a much faster tempo than past year's (albeit still below the nation average). With the higher scoring comes more potential fantasy assets, and one of those is Grunloh, a 7-0 freshman center. The numbers on their own aren't overly eye-popping (9.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg), but he also provides a boost on the defensive end in rotisserie leagues by putting up 2.9 rejections per contest, good for fifth in the country entering Wednesday's games. Grunloh is also useful in any format that places a premium on either freshmen or traditional centers.

Chance Mallory - Excellent defensively Mallory logged 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and six steals in 22 minutes during Tuesday's 84-60 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore.
Impact Mallory posted decent scoring and passing numbers, but there's no doubt that the six steals were an eye-popping output. Mallory has yet to make a start this season, but his recent play merits a bigger role. Over his last six games, he's averaging 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 steals per contest.

Thijs De Ridder - Solid output in 22 minutes De Ridder logged 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two steals across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 84-60 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore.
Impact De Ridder has slowed down a bit after scoring 20 or more points in four of his first five outings. However, the Freshman continues to look like a reliable offensive weapon for Virginia every time he steps on the floor. He's averaging 11.7 points and 7.0 boards per game in three outings in December, but he's only attempting 8.0 shots per game compared to the 11.9 he was putting up in November. With a little more involvement on offense, his numbers will rise.
