Adrien Stevens - Four points in start
Stevens (undisclosed) ended Saturday's 76-73 loss to Villanova with four points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes.
Impact
Stevens was listed as questionable for the Golden Eagles ahead of Saturday's game against Villanova, but the freshman guard wound up playing after all. Still, he was hardly a factor, notching just four points on four shots. Since entering the starting five for Marquette, Stevens is averaging 6.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists.

Adrien Stevens - Observed warming up
Stevens (undisclosed) was observed participating in pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Villanova, Jack Albright of Marquette Wire reports.
Impact
Stevens was deemed questionable leading up to this contest but his participation in warmups bodes well for his chances of suiting up. The freshman guard is in danger of missing his first game of the season but will not know for certain until closer to tipoff.

Adrien Stevens - Listed as questionable
Stevens is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus Villanova, per the Big East availability report.
Impact
Stevens has started the last seven contests and played 33 minutes in the Golden Eagles' last contest, so it's unclear what led to the questionable designation. More information on his availability could surface closer to the opening tip.

Jones (toe) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Villanova.
Impact

Royce Parham - Productive in Wednesday's win
Parham totaled 14 points (5-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 66-65 win over Xavier.
Impact
Parham made his fifth straight start Saturday and put together a very good performance. He scored 14 points for just the third time this season and added eight boards, tied for his most in a game this campaign. It was not all positive though as he shot under 50 percent from the field for the fourth straight game and missed all four of his attempts from beyond the arc. Still, it was a good performance from him and he's clearly established himself as a key part of the Golden Eagles' roster.

Sean Jones - Out Wednesday
Jones (toe) will not play in Wednesday's game against Xavier.
Impact
Jones will miss back-to-back games as he continues to battle through a turf toe. The senior guard will aim to get back on the court for Saturday's meeting with Villanova.

Ben Gold - Grabs 11 boards Sunday
Gold totaled four points (2-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 31 minutes during Sunday's 73-57 loss to UConn.
Impact
Gold came off the bench in his fourth straight game Sunday but he still was able to make an impact with a season-high 11 rebounds. He only scored four points on a disappointing 2-9 from the field though, so it was not an entirely productive performance. With Caedin Hamilton's minutes decreasing, Gold could soon make his way back into the starting five, although it wouldn't make much of a difference considering he's still playing starter-level minutes despite coming off the bench.

Chase Ross - Scores 11 Sunday
Ross provided 11 points (4-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 24 minutes during Sunday's 73-57 loss to UConn.
Impact
Ross had a fairly quiet outing Sunday as he scored 11 points on 11 field goal attempts and missed all four of his shots from beyond the arc. He started off this season on fire, averaging 20.9 points per game across the first eight games of the season, but he hasn't even scored over 16 points in any of his last seven appearances since then and is shooting a porous 28.2 percent from the field over that stretch. He will look to finally get out of this slump Wednesday versus Xavier.

Nigel James Jr. - Scores 15 in loss
James had 15 points (5-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Sunday's 73-57 loss to UConn.
Impact
James dropped 15 points in his third consecutive game Sunday, despite really struggling versus the Huskies. He only made five of his 18 field goal attempts, his least efficient outing of the season, and he turned the ball over three times in his fourth consecutive outing. He will look to bounce back Wednesday in a much more favorable matchup versus Xavier.

Sean Jones - Battling turf toe
Jones is dealing with turf toe and doesn't have a timetable for return, Freelance writer Jaden Daly reports.
Impact
Jones attempted to practice Saturday but couldn't move normally, hence why he missed Sunday's game against UConn. X-rays on Jones' foot came back clean, which means his return will depend on his level of pain tolerance. As Marquette takes a wait-and-see approach, Adrien Stevens and Tre Norman could soak up some of Jones' vacated minutes.

Sean Jones - Out at UConn
Jones (foot) is out for Sunday's game at Connecticut.
Impact
Already struggling this season, Marquette's team will have more on its plate with top reserve guard Jones out against the Big East Conference's most successful team in recent years. Off the bench throughout December, he logged 6.4 points, 3.8 assists, 1.6 three-pointers made and 1.2 rebounds per game. With a difficult opponent like Connecticut, it would make sense if the Golden Eagles stretch out their primary backcourt's minutes, but there is also a chance that fellow guard Tre Norman returns to the rotation.
