Sniffs triple-double Burton ended Monday's 86-77 victory over Buffalo with 19 points (8-21 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and three steals over 35 minutes.

Impact Tae Davis led the way for Notre Dame in the scoring column with an impressive 27-point performance, but Burton was equally dominant as an all-around threat. The star guard finished just one rebound and two assists shy of a triple-double, and his role as the Fighting Irish's go-to player on offense is pretty much set in stone.

Strong output in blowout victory Burton ended Wednesday's 89-60 victory over Stonehill with 18 points (6-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 32 minutes.

Impact Burton was the co-leader in scoring for the Fighting Irish on Wednesday, and he also paced the team in assists. However, that shouldn't be surprising given his usage rate and his role as the team's starting floor general. Burton seems poised to have a strong sophomore year and should operate as Notre Dame's go-to player on offense on a game-to-game basis.

Impact Burton withdrawing from the 2024 NBA Draft gives him another season of college basketball to raise his relatively impressive stock. He earned it after averaging 18.5 points, 4.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals across his 20 games during the 2024 part of Notre Dame's 2023-24 season. Burton's one-year experience and another offseason of preparation can help him replicate his aforementioned output, further legitimizing the freshman as a star.
