Appears unlikely for NIT Avery has "opted out" of playing in the NIT with Oklahoma State, according to a recent radio broadcast (via Dalton Arrendondo of The O'Colly).

Impact It's unclear if Avery is seeking another season of eligibility or simply preparing for the next level, but it doesn't appear as if he'll be suiting up for Oklahoma State as the Cowboys gear up for Tuesday's NIT quarterfinal matchup against North Texas. In his stead, Bryce Thompson and Connor Down have seen slight upticks in minutes over the tournament's first two rounds.
