Not playing Monday Cryer isn't playing Monday against Alcorn State due to a foot injury, John Werner of the Waco Tribune-Herald reports.

Impact Cryer is apparently sitting out as a precautionary measure for a foot injury he suffered during the offseason. He'll now have a full extra week to rest up before the next game against Northwestern State on Dec. 28.

Another 20-point outing Cryer chipped in 20 points (7-14 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), one rebound and one assist across 24 minutes during Saturday's 99-54 victory over UAPB.

Impact Cryer was able to bounce back from a couple poor shooting outings with his fourth game scoring at least 20 points this season. Despite making just one start this season, Cryer is averaging 15.4 points and 2.9 three-pointers in 25.0 minutes per contest. He has to be considered among the best sixth man's in the country.

Impact Cryer got his first start of the season in place of Adam Flagler (hand). He continued to prove to coach Scott Drew that he deserves a lot of playing time each night. Cryer is now averaging 18.5 points, 3.5 three-pointers, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest. It's going to be extremely hard to keep him out of the starting five even with Flagler returns healthy if Cryer keeps producing like this.

Impact Cryer was the team's top scorer off the bench, something that has a chance to become a theme this season. The injury to Langston Love leaves Cryer as easily the top backcourt option off the bench for the Bears. Baylor's starting rotation appears to be pretty solidified, but Cryer should still see 20-25 minutes most nights.

Impact Cryer underwent offseason foot surgery in early September but was never in doubt to miss the beginning of the season. His return completes the Bears' backcourt depth as he should hold a sizeable role behind James Akinjo at point guard. The 6-1 sophomore's playing time was capped at just under 10 minutes per game last season due to the Bears' incredible depth. However, with Jared Butler, MaCio Teague and Davion Mitchell all moving on, Cryer will be able to see heftier usage in year two.

Impact After undergoing foot surgery earlier in the offseason, the rising sophomore looks on his way to being back to full health by the time Baylor begins its season Nov. 12. He is also shooting 60 percent from behind the arc. Cryer will be battling Adam Flagler for backcourt minutes off the bench behind the star trio of Davion Mitchell, Jared Butler, and MaCio Teague. Baylor will take on Central Arkansas next Tuesday.
