Out for the season Wrightsell ruptured his Achillies tendon during Saturday's game against Oregon and he will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season, Charlie Potter of 247Sports.com reports. Impact Wrightsell will miss the remainder of his senior season as he's set to undergo season-ending surgery on an Achillies injury suffered against the Ducks. The 6-foot-3 senior was off to a fast start in his second season with the Crimson Tide, averaging 11.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, two assists and 0.5 steals on 25.8 minutes per game (eight games, five starts). Wrightsell will likely seek out a medical redshirt, if possible, to extend his collegiate eligibility, with a long recovery road ahead of him. In his absence, Derrion Reid, who has started in two games thus far, is likely to see an expanded role for Alabama moving forward.
