Back with Texas Tech Hoover will return to Texas Tech for the 2026-27 season, per Jamie Shaw of On3.com.

Impact Hoover decided to redshirt during the 2025-26 campaign after not seeing any minutes as a true freshman. The 6-foot-11 forward will look to continue developing with the team and compete for minutes in a competitive Red Raiders' frontcourt.

Taking a redshirt year Hoover will redshirt for 2025-26 and miss the remainder of the season, per Nathan Giese of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

Impact Hoover had yet to play in a game this season, and indeed, he'll redshirt and miss the rest of the year for the Red Raiders. The freshman seven-footer will look to contribute next season in Lubbock.
