Joining the Tarheels Evans has announced his commitment to North Carolina ahead of the 2025-26 season, Joe Tipton of On3.com reports.
Impact Evans will join the Tarheels following a standout season with Colorado State. The 6-foot-2 sophomore started in all 36 games this past season, averaging 10.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 0.8 steals on 28.4 minutes per game. Evans, who shot 44.6 percent from three this past season (4.4 attempts per game), will look to produce in the ACC next season.

Impact Evans will hit the portal after two seasons at Colorado State. After being a reserve as a freshman, Evans blossomed as a sophomore, averaging 10.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists while starting all 36 games. There appears to be a strong possibility Evans follows his former head coach Niko Medved to Minnesota.

23 points carry Rams over Tigers Evans produced 23 points (7-11 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 3-5 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals over 36 minutes during Friday's 78-70 win over Memphis.
Impact Evans was the Rams' leading scorer with 23 points, including a whopping six made threes on 66 percent shooting from downtown. The sophomore guard was highly efficient, and his three-point shooting now sits at a scorching 43.1 percent on the season. Evans won't always shoot the lights out quite like he did against Memphis, but the point guard will remain a key factor for Colorado State moving forward.
