Impact The 6-11 senior scored 12 points in the opener, then was held to a combined 11 points in his subsequent four games. Mading is coming off the bench for the 49ers after starting 57 games over the past two seasons with North Florida. He took advantage of extra minutes due to Spencer Elliott being in foul trouble.

Leaving Buffalo Mading has entered the NCAA transfer portal, VerbalCommits.com reports.

Impact Mading will look for additional opportunities with a new program this season after spending two seasons with Buffalo. The 6-foot-9 sophomore appeared in six games this season, averaging 4.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks on 7.2 minutes per game.

Impact Mading dealt with an undisclosed injury last year but should be healthy to begin the 2022-23 campaign. He appeared in just seven games last year and seems unlikely to play a significant role for Buffalo this year.
