Bradford and Charlotte win 88-76 in OT against UIC

Ben Bradford scored 26 points and Arden Conyers scored six points in the overtime as the Charlotte 49ers took down the UIC Flames 88-76 on Sunday

Impact Bradford put the 49ers on his shoulders in the second half and rallied the team from a seven-point halftime deficit. He tied the game with five seconds remaining and had 14 points in the second half. It was highest output since the opener when he scored 31 points. Bradford had been limited to a combined 11 points in his previous two games. His perfection from the line improved his free throw rate to 80.8 percent.

Impact Harrison was previously listed as questionable for Sunday's contest due to an undisclosed injury that had kept him out of Charlotte's previous three contests, but he was able to make his return against Utah State. The 6-foot-4 senior was severely limited against the Aggies, totaling two points in just eight minutes on the day. He will hope to work his way back into the rotation when the 49ers travel to face Charleston next week.

Impact The 7-2 center had combined for just 14 rebounds in his three previous games. He had double-digit rebounds in four of his first six games, but had been held off the glass prior to Sunday. Bonke had seen his playing time cut and did not play more than 20 minutes in those three games. As long as he gets consistent playing time, the junior could be among the best centers in the American Conference.

The 6-4 Marshall transfer is only converting 30.3 percent of his long-range shots. He has scored in double digits in six of the 49ers' eight games, but has only topped 13 once. As long as he continues to get plenty of playing time, he is a threat to score.
