Suffers injury Wednesday Hymes suffered a back injury in Wednesday's win over Fresno State and will miss the rest of the Mountain West Tournament, Chris Murray of NevadaSportsNet.com reports.
Impact Hynes lasted eight minutes in Wednesday's win, tallying five points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks. His absence from the upcoming games means that Brandon Love and Jeriah Coleman should be in line to see more minutes at center.

Impact According to Chris Murray of Nevada Sports Net, Hymes suffered an ankle injury last week against Weber State that forced his exit from the contest. It didn't stop him from suiting up Sunday, however, logging his second consecutive game with exactly 10 points. It appears the fifth-year senior is in the clear, medically speaking.

It's reported that the forward underwent successful, minor surgery to address his back injury and, unfortunately, likely won't return until next campaign. Hymes has only appeared in four games this year.

Impact Hymes (COVID-19 protocols) returned to the court Wednesday against Boise State after missing the previous two games in COVID-19 protocols. The 6-foot-10 forward was eased back into the action, and only saw six minutes in his return. Hymes has appeared in four games for the Wolfpack this season, averaging three points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists on 11.3 minutes per game this season.
