Impact The rebounding and block numbers have certainly been there this season, but the scoring has been strangely down. He's averaging just 6.5 points over his last four games. Samuel still has a ton of upside and is very efficient. We'd expect coach Jamie Dixon to look to get the big man involved more over the next handful of games.

Impact Samuel was a force in the middle against an inexperienced Oklahoma State frontcourt. His 18 points and seven blocks were both season highs. The junior is now averaging a healthy 10.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game this season. Samuel should continue to be a nightly double-double threat with defensive stat upside going forward.

Impact It was a pretty complete game for the 6-11 center who was able to contribute in just about every area. His offense continues to come around, but Samuel is looking like a dominant force in the paint on the boards and as a shot blocker. He is averaging 10.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.5 steals in 30.5 minutes per game this season. If Samuel continues to see that many minutes, he will continue to put up big numbers going forward. Samuel has an interesting matchup on Sunday against Brady Manek and Oklahoma.

Impact Samuel will eventually get some frontcourt relief upon the return of Ohio State transfer Jaedon LeDee (undisclosed), but that exact date remains a mystery. Until then, the 6-11 center will likely see all the minutes he can handle as long as he's able to avoid foul trouble. He's recorded double-digit rebounds and at least a pair of blocks in both games this season, helping the Horned Frogs jump out to a 2-0 start.
