Delrecco Gillespie - Five straight double-doubles Gillespie accumulated 26 points (10-17 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 17 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 41 minutes during Sunday's 76-72 OT victory over Wright State.
Impact Gillespie broke out towards the end of the 2024-25 season, averaging 11.1 points and 10.9 rebounds over the final 15 games while settling into a starting role. A step up in production was a reasonable expectation entering his senior season, but few could have imagined he would start the season with five consecutive double-doubles while representing a top-50 nationwide scorer and shooting a career-best 60.0 percent from the field. Gillespie has also been strong on the defensive end, recording at least one block in all five games and averaging 2.2 rejections per contest. Simply put, he's been one of the best fantasy assets in nationwide formats through the first two game weeks.

Delrecco Gillespie - 22 and 16 in OT loss Gillespie ended with 22 points (7-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 38 minutes during Monday's 103-97 OT loss to Troy.
Impact Gillespie's career game wasn't enough to power Kent State to a victory, but he definitely showed that he will be a force in the MAC this season. The 6-8 forward is coming off a solid junior campaign in which he became a nightly double-double threat. Gillespie should continue that as a senior. Kent State will face Cornell on Friday.

Rob Whaley - Joining Golden Flashes Whaley (back) has announced his commitment to Kent State, Portal Updates reports.
Impact Whaley, who missed most of the 2024-25 season with a back injury at UNLV, will look to get a fresh start with Kent State this fall. The 6-foot-7 senior appeared in 34 games with UNLV during the 2023-24 season (16 starts), averaging 7.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.7 blocks on 20.1 minutes per game.

Delrecco Gillespie - Double-double not enough Gillespie notched 10 points (3-6 FG, 4-6 FT) and 12 rebounds over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 72-62 loss to Loyola Chicago.
Impact Gillespie won't get the chance to extend his streak of consecutive double-doubles to four games after the Golden Flashes fell to Loyola-Chicago in the NIT quarterfinals. The junior forward averaged a double-double throughout March with 10.6 points and 11.6 rebounds across seven games. He finished the season with an impressive six double-doubles.

Impact Sullinger's monster performance marked a new career high for the senior. The veteran guard saved his best play for the end of the season, averaging 22.7 points per game in six games in March. His seven makes from three-point range were not a season high, surprisingly. After leading the upset over the Cardinal, Sullinger will try to continue his magical month and lead the Golden Flashes through the NIT quarterfinals against Loyola-Chicago.
