Still, none of that mattered for Penn State when the final buzzer sounded, as the Nittany Lions picked up a cathartic win for their first conference victory of the 2025-26 season. The freshman point guard was inefficient as a scorer, sure, but he also contributed with five rebounds, four assists and two steals in an all-around performance. There's been definite growing pains for Mingo, but seeing as he averages 14.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists on 46 percent shooting from the field, his future is immensely bright.
