Returns to starting five

Impact
Ezeagu was not dressed out the last time the team took the floor but returned Thursday to his usual starting role. Despite being a consistent starter, Ezeagu has played more than 20 minutes just once this season and has only scored more than five points once since Nov. 22. He'll look to get going when the team travels to face New Mexico State on Saturday.

Ezeagu (COVID-19 protocols) is likely to return to action for Wednesday's game against TCU, Arne Green of the Topeka Capital-Journal reports.

Ezeagu has started in 12 games this season, contributing 6.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks on 15.7 minutes per game. The 6-foot-10 center will try and help Kansas State get back on track after starting 0-3 in Big 12 play.

Still out Saturday
Ezeagu (COVID-19 protocols) won't play Saturday against West Virginia, Grant Flanders of Rivals.com reports.
Impact
The Wildcats will be shorthanded in the frontcourt once again Saturday, as Ezeagu, Davion Bradford and Logan Landers will all be out due to COVID-19 protocols. Ismael Massoud and Carlton Linguard should see increased usage.

ROTOWIRE
Won't play Tuesday
Ezeagu will sit out Tuesday's game against Texas due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, Alec Ausmus of KSN News Wichita reports.
Impact
Ezeagu has started every game this season for the Wildcats but is one of a plethora of players who will miss out on the action Tuesday due to COVID-19 moving through the locker room. His next chance to join back in arrives Saturday versus West Virginia.

ROTOWIRE
Effective in return
Ezeagu (knee) returned and registered seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 12 minutes during Tuesday's 76-50 loss to Oklahoma.
Impact
Ezeagu had not played since Dec. 5 while dealing with a knee injury, but he performed well over his limited appearance, scoring seven points while protecting the rim with a pair of blocks. Ezeagu's return may send Davion Bradford, who started every game during Ezeagu's absence, back to the bench while Ezeagu reclaims his role. Through five games this season, Ezeagu is averaging 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 0.6 assists over 21.4 minutes per game.

Could see a few minutes Tuesday
Coach Bruce Weber indicated in his pregame show that he hopes to get Ezeagu (knee) some minutes Tuesday versus Oklahoma, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
Impact
Based on Weber' comments, it seems Ezeagu is relatively healthy for the first time since Dec. 5. The sophomore started the first four games of the year and averaged 23.8 minutes over that span but appears set for a gradual return to avoid setbacks with his knee.

ROTOWIRE
Not expected to play Saturday
Ezeagu (knee) is not expected to play in Saturday's game against Texas, Kellis Robinett of The Wichita Eagle reports.
Impact
Ezeagu will likely miss his tenth straight game Saturday due to a knee injury. Luke Kasubke (foot) and Nijel Pack (COVID-19) will also miss the contest. Davion Bradford, who has stepped in and started in place of Ezeagu over the past nine games, will look to continue holding things down at center for Kansas State.

ROTOWIRE
Status for Saturday unclear
Ezeagu's (knee) status for Saturday's game is cloudy at this point, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
Impact
Ezeagu is expected to return before the end of January, but it sounds as though Saturday hasn't been ruled out as a potential return date. The sophomore averaged north of 20 minutes per contest during the first four games this season, so his return could help a Wildcats team that is expected to be shorthanded.

ROTOWIRE
Expected back at end of month
Ezeagu (knee) is expected to return at the end of January, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
Impact
Ezeagu hasn't played since Dec. 5 against UNLV after suffering a knee injury. He appears to be progressing in his rehab, as he's expected back at the end of the month. Davion Bradford has seen the bulk of Ezeagu's vacated minutes over the past month, averaging 9.1 points and 5.1 rebounds over 23.0 minutes per game over the past eight contests. Carlton Linguard has also found an increased role during the same span, though it's small and shouldn't garner fantasy consideration.

Ezeagu (knee) is unlikely to play in Tuesday's game against Omaha, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
Impact
Ezeagu is one of three players for the Wildcats battling injury. The 6-10 sophomore has made good progress, but still needs a little time to get back to full strength. We'll have to see if Ezeagu is able to give it a go on Saturday against TCU.

Could return before new year
Ezeagu (knee) could return after Christmas, Kellis Robinett of the Wichita Eagle reports.
Impact
Head coach Bruce Weber said Tuesday that Ezeagu could return before the end of the calendar year following a knee procedure earlier in December. The team's only remaining game after Christmas and before the new year comes Dec. 29 against Omaha. Through four games, the sophomore is averaging 7.5 points and 3.5 rebounds across 23.8 minutes. While he's been sidelined, Davion Bradford has started the past three games at center, posting 12.0 points and 4.3 rebounds over 26.0 minutes.

ROTOWIRE
Starting opener
Ezeagu (undisclosed) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's opener versus Drake, Ryan Black of The Manhattan Mercury reports.
Impact
Ezeagu had missed some practice recently, so his presence in the starting lineup is certainly a welcomed sight. The big man didn't play much last season at UTEP but figures to be a significant contributor in the frontcourt for the Wildcats after averaging 3.2 points and 3.4 rebounds as a freshman back in 2018-19.

ROTOWIRE
Missed time in practice
Ezeagu has missed time in practice recently, John Kurtz of KMAN reports.
Impact
Coach Bruce Weber said that he has an idea of what he'd like his starting five to be, but injuries and COVID-19 situations have caused that to be questionable for the opener. Ezeagu was one player that is expected to start, but that has not been in recent practices for an undisclosed reason. He should be a game-time decision Wednesday against Drake.
