Impact Sakho transferred to the Cougars from Sam Houston in April, and it appears he could carve out a role for himself early in the season. While this news doesn't guarantee meaningful playing time for the 6-foot-11 big man, he has been impressing so far this offseason opposite to returning center Joseph Tugler, who is dealing with a foot injury.

Impact Sakho spent the 2024-25 season at Sam Houston and posted solid numbers, as he 7.6 points and 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. He should add some much-needed depth in the frontcourt for the Cougars, and he should find enough playing time to be a decent fantasy contributor.

Impact Before both Utah State and Sam Houston, Sakho enrolled at South Plains College. Last winter, the NCAA announced JUCO seasons do not count toward player eligibility. South Plains is a junior college, so the senior Sakho still has at least one year of collegiate eligibility remaining.
