Excellent in victory
Lewis supplied 18 points (7-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and three steals over 34 minutes during Saturday's 73-72 victory over Seton Hall.
Impact
Lewis drilled both of his three-pointers in the opening seven minutes of play and that set the tone for Marquette's win. The Golden Eagles were outrebounded, recorded the same number of shot makes from the floor and did not have as many free-throw opportunities as Seton Hall. However, Marquette shot 50 percent from three-point range as a team and the Pirates shot just 28.6 percent. Lewis laid out the playbook for success early, and it allowed Marquette to earn the photo-finish win. The freshman has averaged 14.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks during 30.6 minutes of play over the last five games. Since the layoff, he has shot 9 for 10 from the free-throw line and 31.6 percent from three-point range. The forward will look to continue showing how limitless he is against Villanova on Wednesday.

Drops 23 points
Lewis accumulated 23 points (7-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Tuesday's 88-56 win over Providence.
Impact
Lewis posterized Noah Horchler announcing his arrival early in the first half. The freshman recorded a career-high for points during his fifth double-double of the season. Since the end of November, the Maryland-born forward has averaged 15.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block during 32.1 minutes of play. The certified stat sheet stuffer will look to continue his improvement in every aspect of the game against Georgetown on Friday.

Scores 15 in loss
Lewis accumulated 15 points (5-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 34 minutes during Saturday's 80-71 loss to Xavier.
Impact
Lewis was tyrannical on the defensive glass, he recorded all seven of his rebounds in the defensive zone. The forward recorded seven of Marquette's first 10 points but couldn't stay hot. His second-half mainly consisted of five misses and a handful of free throws. Through his last five appearances, the freshman has recorded 63 shot attempts, he will look to continue to stay aggressive against UCONN on Tuesday.

Sniffs double-double in win
Lewis recorded 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three steals over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 64-63 win over Kansas State.
Impact
Lewis was one of two Golden Eagles to record double-digit points on the night. It was his three-point shot at the end of the first half that gave Marquette the lead, and his relentlessness on defense that helped earn it back in the second half. Over his last five starts, the freshman has averaged 13.6 points and 7.4 rebounds through 28.6 minutes per game.

Paces scoring in victory
Lewis provided 15 points (6-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one block and two steals across 25 minutes during Saturday's 80-66 victory over Northern Illinois.
Impact
Lewis led Marquette in scoring with a personal season-low of 15 points in Saturday's win. He averaged 12.7 shot attempts per game leading up to the match, and despite Marquette's 20 team turnovers, he found ways to score. The forward has averaged 17.3 points and 8.1 rebounds on 31.7 minutes of play through the first seven games of the season.

Records first career double-double
Lewis seized 17 points (5-14 FG, 1-5 3pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 88-77 victory over SIU-Edwardsville.
Impact
Lewis was brilliant on defense recording 10 defensive rebounds, and his ability to finish in the paint was on full display when he cooked defenders on three monster dunks. He has certainly gained a step from last season where he averaged 7.8 points and 5.4 rebounds. He hasn't recorded this many 3-point attempts since January last season, hinting at a larger role on offense for the redshirt freshman.

Making first career start
Lewis is in the starting five for Tuesday's road game versus DePaul.
Impact
Theo John (illness) is considered a game-time decision, and Lewis is taking his spot in the frontcourt. This will be Lewis' first career start; he's averaged 8.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game through 18 contests this year.

Back in action
Lewis had 14 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, a steal and a block across 21 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 80-62 loss to UConn.
Impact
Lewis had been sidelined for six of the last seven games with a lower-body injury, but the freshman is back to provide post depth for the Golden Eagles as Big East play winds down. He's a valuable pivot option off the bench when Theo John isn't getting the job done for coach Steve Wojciechowski, as Lewis is third on the team in rebounding at 5.8 rpg while providing similar scoring numbers to John.

Available Saturday
Lewis (leg) is available Saturday against Connecticut.

Not nearing return
Lewis (leg) will not play again Wednesday versus North Carolina and isn't expected back soon, Ben Steele of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact
Lewis has missed most of the last month, making a brief seven-minute appearance at Creighton before exiting again. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the budding freshman will be back in the mix soon for the Golden Eagles and the season is winding down, so there's a chance he's played his last basketball of the season.

Won't play Wednesday
Lewis (leg) will sit out Wednesday's game against Butler.
Impact
Lewis was considered questionable leading up to the contest but apparently hasn't progressed enough in his recovery from a foot issue to take part in Wednesday's action. The freshman forward, who was averaging 9.0 points and 6.2 rebounds over 24.2 minutes per game in the six prior to his injury, will now turn his sights toward a potential return Feb. 27 following an extended break for the Golden Eagles.

ROTOWIRE
Deemed questionable for Wednesday
Lewis (leg) sports a questionable tag for Wednesday's game against Butler, SBNation reports.
Impact
Lewis has missed the majority of the last five games making a brief seven-minute appearance off the bench in the Feb. 6 loss to Creighton. While his status for Wednesday is still up in the air, it's at least a good sign that the freshman is nearing a return to the floor. More information on his status should surface as the opening tip nears.

Has terrific outing in win
Lewis recorded 13 points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3PT, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 23 minutes during the 73-71 win over St. John's on Saturday.
Impact
Lewis once again led the secondary-unit for Marquette in their win Saturday. The forward has been putting together a string of strong performances lately and has been a welcomed addition to the stat line for the Golden Eagles. Lewis has shown he can dominate in the paint, but does have some work to do in the shooting department. Nonetheless, he is still viable option and eventually he will start hitting his shots more consistently.

Leads secondary unit in win
Lewis recorded 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3PT), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks in 22 minutes in the 79-69 win over Marquette on Tuesday.
Impact
Lewis went above and beyond in the win Tuesday. The forward easily had one of his best performances of the year. Lewis not only led the secondary unit in points, but in production in general. He was active on both sides of the ball and proved to be an excellent role-player for the Golden Eagles. He has yet to start a match this season, but if he continues to play like this, there is no reason for him to not see the starting rotation.
