The 5-foot-10 senior last saw significant utilization with Gardner-Webb during the 2023-24 season, averaging 12.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals across 31 games (29 starts).

Impact Soumaoro's portal entry indicates he maintained his senior year of collegiate eligibility. Before the senior's 2024-25 season ended prematurely because of a personal problem, he transferred to East Carolina from Gardner-Webb, meaning 2025 is his second year going portaling.
