Nears double-double Tuesday Carlton had 15 points (3-8 FG, 9-11 FT), nine rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 71-53 victory over Cincinnati.
Impact Carlton finished just one rebound shy of a double-double Tuesday. The Cougars big man leads the team in rebounds per game with 6.7. Tuesday marked the second consecutive game in which Carlton tallied over 15 points and eight rebounds.
MARCH 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Tallies double-double Saturday Carlton chipped in 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist and one block across 30 minutes during Saturday's 63-49 win over UCF.
Impact Carlton dominated on the glass, grabbing a double-double while collecting a season high in rebounds. Saturday marked Carlton's third double-double of the season, his last occurring on Jan. 18 against USF. The senior center has started the last 10 games for the Cougars, following the shake up in the starting five due to Marcus Sasser's season ending injury.

Breaking out with Cougars Carlton notched 30 points (11-16 FG, 8-12 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one block in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 83-66 win over South Florida.
Impact Carlton started his fifth consecutive game Wednesday night and ended up shattering his previous career-best scoring total of 21. The Cougars have been decimated by injuries in the backcourt, but rather than rely on young guards to pick up the pace, it seems coach Kelvin Sampson is instead looking to his experienced post players for offense. It's a strategy that has been successful so far, with Houston posting a 2-0 record to begin AAC play.

Remains in starting five Carlton is starting Saturday's game against Oklahoma State.
Impact Carlton made his first start of the season Tuesday and totaled 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 FT), nine rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 31 minutes during the win over Louisiana-Lafayette. Reggie Chaney should be available Saturday but will come off the bench.
DECEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Tuesday Carlton is in the starting lineup Tuesday against Louisiana-Lafayette.
Impact The senior is making his first start of the season for the banged-up Cougars on Tuesday. Carlton is currently posting 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
DECEMBER 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Banged up, but returns Carlton produced seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 21 minutes during Tuesday's 67-47 win over Virginia.
Impact Carlton saw some extra run early in this contest with starting center Reggie Chaney temporarily exiting with a hand injury, according to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle. Chaney was able to return, and later in the contest Carlton even limped off with an injury of his own. He did check back into the game later on with several Cougars players in foul trouble, suggesting this shouldn't be a major concern moving forward. Carlton and the Cougars next draw a matchup with Butler on Monday.
NOVEMBER 17, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Will be available Saturday Carlton (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against Georgetown, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Carlton didn't play in the Huskies' previous game, but he recovered quickly and is expected to see minutes here. He is averaging just 3.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, however, so his availability shouldn't affect many fantasy rosters.
MARCH 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Nearing full health Coach Dan Hurley indicated Friday that Carlton (ankle) is "about 90-95 percent" ahead of Saturday's game against Georgetown, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.
Impact It's unclear if Carlton will gain clearance to play in Saturday's contest, but it appears he's at least nearing full health. The senior hasn't held the same role he has in years past, averaging just 3.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest, so his return shouldn't be overly impactful from a fantasy perspective even if the senior big man is available.
MARCH 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sits against Seton Hall Carlton (ankle) ultimately did not take the court Wednesday despite participating in warmups.
Impact Carlton was expected to be available for the penultimate game of the regular season, but coach Dan Hurley instead elected to take a conservative approach with the 6-11 senior. In his stead, Adama Sanogo and Isaiah Whaley each saw 30-plus minutes, with Whaley picking up his fourth double-double of the season. Tyler Polley ended up as the first and only forward off the bench. It's unclear if Carlton will take the court in Saturday's regular season finale against Georgetown, or if Hurley will continue to save him for the postseason. It could very well be a matter of need and game flow.
MARCH 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Looking good in warmups Carlton (ankle) looks healthy in warmups ahead of Wednesday's game against Seton Hall, David Borges of Hearst Connecticut Media reports.
Impact Carlton serves as a solid bench piece for the Huskies in the frontcourt and it appears he's in good shape as far as his ankle goes after he rolled it in the team's previous contest. He should sere in a similar role Wednesday.
MARCH 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Trending toward playing Wednesday Head coach Dan Hurley believes Carlton (knee) will play Wednesday's game versus Seton Hall, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.
Impact Carlton rolled his ankle during Saturday's win over Marquette, and he's officially considered a game-time decision for Wednesday's contest. The senior center has suited up in 15 games (one start) this year, averaging 3.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
MARCH 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with rolled ankle Coach Dan Hurley revealed after Saturday's game versus Marquette that Carlton rolled his ankle but didn't know the severity of the issue, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.
Impact Carlton returned to the bench after his exit but doesn't seem to have checked back into the contest. His status will be one worth monitoring ahead of next Saturday's game versus Georgetown.
FEBRUARY 27, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to bench after knee issue Carlton retook the bench after suffering an apparent knee injury during Saturday's game versus Marquette, Neill Ostrout of the Manchester Journal Inquirer reports.
Impact Carlton is reportedly still walking gingerly, so it's unclear whether or not he will be able to rejoin the action. Carlton attempted only one shot and didn't have any other stats on his line prior to his departure.
FEBRUARY 27, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Double-double off bench Carlton had 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and one block in 26 minutes off the bench Wednesday against DePaul.
Impact Carlton had a one-game stint in the starting five in the Big East opener against Creighton, but his best efforts have been off the bench this season. In any case, it's a big step up from only playing three minutes in the first two games of the year back in November. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Carlton is a double-double threat for a deep UConn roster. The 6-11 senior can also help in the blocks department. He has five rejections in his last three games, but did have a season in which he averaged 1.8 bpg.

Martin, Bouknight carry UConn past DePaul 82-61

Tyrese Martin scored 22 points with 10 rebounds, James Bouknight added 20 points and UConn rolled past DePaul 82-61 on Wednesday night for its first Big East Conference win
DECEMBER 31, 2020 • ASSOCIATED PRESS
Starting Sunday Carlton is getting the start for Sunday's game against Creighton, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports.
Impact It was Adama Sanogo who got the start at center in the Huskies' most recent game against USC on Dec. 3 but Carlton outplayed him by a mile. The 6-11 senior will earn his first start of the season Sunday as the Huskies look to remain perfect by opening up conference play with an upset win over Creighton.
